Upload a World to a Hytale Server

A World is a single level that only stores region information. For uploading Universes, check out this guide.

In Hytale, a server can have multiple Worlds. These are stored in what is referred to as a Universe, allowing for players to roam in different worlds in the same servers. If you have found the perfect World and you want to add it to the server, follow this guide to add more Worlds.

Find the World

To start, you will need to find where the World is saved. Each save will contain one or more Worlds, so to start, you will need to find the save where the World is stored, then find the World folder.

1. Start the game.
   Open the Hytale Launcher and press Play to start the game.
2. Click on Worlds.
   When the game launchers, click on Worlds to open up the single player saves.
3. Open the save in a file explorer.
   Right-click on the save with the World you would like to upload, then click on Open Folder.
4. Find the World to upload.
   Open the universe folder, then click on worlds. Find the world you would like top upload to a server. By default, the origin world will be called default.

Upload the World

Once you have found the World to upload, the next step will be to upload it to the server.

1. Login via SFTP.
   Log into the server files via SFTP. Check out this guide for more information.
2. Open the worlds folder.
   Click on the Servers folder, then universe, and then worlds.
3. Upload the World to the server.
   Drag the World folder into the worlds folder. If the world you would like to upload is called default, rename it before uploading to the server.
