Find Minecraft Forge Logs

When you encounter issues with the game, it's sometimes necessary to read the log files to find the cause. You may also be asked by our support team or a friend that's helping you to find the logs and send them. Where to find the logs may depend on if you need the client or server logs.

CurseForge Launcher

  1. Open the CurseForge Launcher window and navigate to the modpack profile that you are using.
  2. In the upper right of the window, click on the three dot menu button and select open folder.
  3. Inside of the opened folder window, enter the logs folder.
  4. Select the file with a name similar to client-fml-latest.log.

ATLauncher

  1. Open the ATLauncher window and navigate to the instances tab.
  2. Select the instance you are using.
  3. Click the Open Folder button.
  4. Inside of the opened folder window, enter the logs folder.
  5. Select the file with a name similar to client-fml-latest.log.

Command Center

We won't normally ask you to send log files from your server as we will have access to them inside of Command Center. But this is where you can find them.

  1. Login to Command Center.
  2. From the servers page, select manage for the server you are using.
  3. Click on the Files tab.
  4. In the list of files and folders, select the logs folder.
  5. You should see a server-fml-latest.log file or similar. Clicking on that will open it in a separate window.
