Upload A World to your Minecraft Bedrock Server

This guide will help get you started with uploading a Bedrock world to your Bedrock server.

Preparing the World

Before the world can be uploaded to a server, it will need to be exported from the game. Exporting the world creates a copy of your existing world as a file.

  1. Launch the Minecraft Bedrock

  2. Click on play and next to the world you want to upload click on the pencil or edit button.

  3. Scroll to bottom of the Game Settings and select the Export World button. This will create a .mcworld file.

  4. Extract the .mcworld file using an archiving program such as WinRAR, 7-Zip, or the built-in application for your operating system. This will create a folder containing level.dat and the rest of your world files.

Uploading the World

Once the world has been exported and extracted, it can now be uploaded to the server.

  1. Stop your server.
  2. Login via SFTP.
  3. Take your single player world folder and upload it into worlds folder on the server.
  1. Back in Command Center, navigate to your files tab and click on the server.properties file. Change the level-name to the name of the folder you just uploaded.
  2. Once your server.properties is saved, start your server and connect to check and make sure your world loaded correctly.
