Joining your Minecraft Server

This guide will help you connected to your Akliz Minecraft server. We have both a Friendly Address and the IP:Port for you to attempt to connect with.

Finding the Server Address

All servers will have two addresses: a Friendly Address, and the IP Address or the IP:Port. The Friendly Address is the address created with the server, and it is an easy-to-remember server address for sharing with others. The IP:Port address is a numeric address that serves as a direct connection to the server. It serves as a backup in case a player is unable to connect to the server using the Friendly Address.

Either address can be used to connect to the server, and both can be found in the same location.

1. Login to the Server Dashboard.
2. Use one of two methods to find the server address:
   1. From the Server Dashboard:

      1. To copy the server's Friendly Address, click on the address to copy the address.

      2. To copy the server's IP Address, click on the switch icon next to the server address to switch to the IP:Port address. Click on this address to copy it.

         

   2. From the server's management page:
      1. Click on the server you would like to join.
      2. Copy the Friendly Address (left) or IP:Port address (right).

Using the Server Address

Now that you have the server address, it will need to be used in the Multiplayer menu to connect to the server.

1. Start Minecraft.
2. On the main menu, click the Multiplayer button.
3. Click on Add Server and fill in the following details:

   1. Server Name: a name for your server. This can be anything you want to make it easier to remember.

   2. Server Address: use either the Friendly Address or IP:Port. Make sure there are no spaces before or after the address.

      

4. Click Done to add the server to the server list.

Your Minecraft will show up on your list in the Multiplayer menu for you to now join. The Server Dashboard will display the number of players online, and the server's management page will show which players have connected to the server.

It is also possible to connect to the server via Direct Connection. This follows similar instructions to adding a server to the server list, but it will not save the details. Instead, once the details are filled in correctly, players will simply join the server.
