Uploading a Universe to your Server

A Universe can be uploaded to a server. Hytale classifies a "Universe" as a collection of worlds and players. Uploading a Universe allows for continuing progress from a single player game to multiplayer.

Uploading a World to your Server

A World can also be uploaded to a server. Hytale classifies a "World" as a single explorable world. Universes can contain multiple Worlds, where the default World will be where players spawn.

Set the World Seed

Each world has a Seed that can be set to change how the world randomly generates. By using a specific seed, the world can be generated the same way each time that seed is used.

Download a copy of your Universe

To create a local backup of the server data or transfer a multiplayer world to single player, the Universe can be downloaded from the server.

Manage Player Data on a Server

All player data will be stored in the Universe's players folder. You can edit these files to modify inventory contents or reset player data.
